SRS Distribution Inc. Senior Fixed Asset Analyst in McKinney, Texas

We are expanding our high-performing accounting team and in search of a professional who wants their work recognized, their mind challenged, and their curiosity peaked. This role presents a unique opportunity to make an immediate impact to the bottom line with exposure to the executive team.

Position Overview

The Senior Fixed Asset Analyst will handle all aspects of maintaining and recording fixed assets. They will analyze expenses to ensure proper classification as a capital asset, and complete monthly, quarterly and yearly reconciliations. This role reports to the Accounting Manager and will contribute to the delivery of the Fixed Assets Finance function organization wide.

Essential Job Functions

  • Review capital expenditures to ensure proper account coding and compliance with capitalization policy

  • Serve as cross-functional liaison for fixed asset transactions between the accounting team, operational teams, and corporate departments

  • Analyze CIP assets/projects and place assets in service in a timely manner.

  • Maintain CIP detail listing and prepare financial metrics on CIP assets for quarterly review

  • Ensure transfers and disposals are processed timely

  • Prepare journal entries and account analysis for Fixed Asset schedules to meet ad-hoc and quarterly reporting requirements

  • Prepare reconciliations of critical balance sheet accounts at the appropriate time intervals

  • Work closely with internal departments (i.e. operational teams, FP&A, and tax)

  • Act as primary point of contact and system administrator for the Fixed Asset System

  • Assist in the development, oversight of the Fixed Asset policies and procedures that aligns with the Company’s internal control environment

  • Focus on using technology to automate and add efficiency to current processes and reporting

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience

  • High emotional intelligence and business acumen

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • High Proficiency in Excel

  • Personable, Organized, & Detail-Focused

  • Team Player

  • Adaptable to explosive growth
