SRS Distribution Inc. Real Estate Project Coordinator in McKinney, Texas

We are seeking an experienced and organized Real Estate Project Coordinator to support our Real Estate team and Construction Managers in the operational standup of new branch facilities, as well as branch relocations and shutdowns. This role will act as a liaison between branch managers, the real estate team, and other corporate support functions, ensuring seamless communication and coordination throughout the entire project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have a background in real estate/construction project coordination in a corporate real estate setting. This role will report to the Director of Construction & Facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Attend regularly scheduled project team and client-only project meetings. Publish meeting minutes to document meeting minutes and action items/critical milestones.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project trackers with each project’s milestones and objectives, invoice tracking, budgets, and progress reports.

  • Monitor project progress, identifying potential risks and issues, and proactively developing solutions to ensure project success.

  • Coordinate with outside vendors for deliveries of furniture, office equipment, propane and other required items needed to branch opening.

  • Coordinate utility set up and timing – including pre-con meetings with utility companies, design approvals, mobilization coordination and transfer of accounts.

  • Coordinate the surrender and shutdown of facilities when necessary, working with relevant stakeholders to ensure a seamless transition.

  • Assist with the development and implementation of processes and procedures for efficient project management and execution.

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, such as architects, engineers, contractors, and local authorities, to ensure project requirements are met.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in real estate project coordination or project management, preferably in a similar corporate support role.

  • Understanding of real estate and construction industry practices and processes.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.

  • Familiarity with project management tools and software is a plus.

  • Ability to work independently and take initiative, as well as collaborate effectively within a team environment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.

  • A friendly, customer-service approach.
