Our client is looking for a season inventory/procurement manager to join their team. They are looking for someone with experience in the fresh food industry and someone with a proven track record doing so. Responsibilities
Responsibilities
Develop and implement inventory management strategies for packaging materials, ensuring alignment with production schedules and demand forecasts.
Analyze, monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
Collaborate with procurement, production, and supply chain teams to coordinate the timely procurement and delivery of packaging materials.
Conduct regular inventory audits and analyses to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
Implement and maintain inventory management systems and processes to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of packaging materials.
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and ensuring thetimely resolution of any issues.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field plus 4 years of experience or 8 years of experience inpackaging/inventory management, preferably in the fresh food industry.
Knowledge of inventory management principles and practices, including demand forecasting,replenishment, and stock control.
Proficient in using inventory management software and ERP systems, experience with Famous preferred.
