This position is for an intern who will be entering their (Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Post Graduate) year by the start of summer 2024

Specialty Engineering is a multi-discipline organization responsible for developing dynamic solutions for all Raytheon products. This position will provide valuable exposure to the broad range of RTX businesses and functions. The candidate will work closely with the Engineering Services team to deliver real results in the areas of Operations, Test Engineering, and Life Cycle Engineering.

This position is a hybrid role, based out of McKinney, Texas and should work with the hiring manager to set schedule.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Assist in designing, developing, and integrate Raytheon test products within Test Equipment in multidiscipline engineering teams

  • Assist in developing both engineering and production test systems, test interface adapters, cabling, technical drawing creation, schematic creation, circuit design and analysis

  • Contribute to the completion of all stages of test product development, and assist in performing technical, cost and schedule management of assigned projects

  • Act, either as a part of the team or independently, to uncover and resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of test products

This position can be a technical intern based on the candidate's classification as determined by grad year on resume and provided via questionnaire by candidate as outlined below:

  • (Sophomore Technical) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program

  • (Junior Technical) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program

  • (Senior Technical) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program

  • (Post-Graduate Technical) must have an undergraduate degree and be enrolled in a graduate degree program (in degree fields listed in Qualifications. You Must Have) by start of internship

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Post Graduate by the start of summer 2024 in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)

  • Proactive and results-driven individual who thrives in a fast paced and dynamic environment

  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Suites functionality

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3.0 cumulative GPA desired

  • A self-starter, able to work independently in a hybrid environment

  • Strong written, verbal communication and analytical skills

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
