UPMC Case Manager - TASC (McKeesport, PA) in Mckeesport, Pennsylvania

UPMC is hiring a Case Manager to support the Treatment Alternatives for a Safer Community (TASC) team at Western Behavioral Health at Mon Yough.

The purpose of this position is to work with individuals in Allegheny County who are diagnosed with an addiction to drugs and/or alcohol and are involved in the criminal justice system.

The shift for this position is primarily Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with one event per week outside of standard hours. While this position is based in McKeesport, the incumbent will spend the majority of working hours in the field throughout Allegheny County. The ideal candidate will be able to engage with clients, work independently, and build strong professional relationships.

Sign-On Bonus Details:

$3,000 for an 18-month work commitment

Responsibilities:

· Assess the treatment needs and the characteristics of each individual.

· Develop and maintain productive relations with community linkage.

· Assess case management and treatment needs of each individual.

· Refer individuals to appropriate treatment programs as well as other identified needed resources in the community.

· Monitor progress of clients and serve as a liaison between referral source and treatment/community linkages.

· Transport clients as necessary.

· Attend staff development and training as directed.

· Provide education and discussion on topics of overdose prevention and transmissions of infectious diseases.

· Distribution of Naloxone to individuals and their support systems

· Facilitate group services with those interested in discussing their drug and alcohol usage.

· Provide assistance with linking individuals to programs they would benefit from

· Network with individuals and other providers at community events with a focus on reducing the Opioid Epidemic using harm reduction techniques.

· Complete monthly reports to the county on services completed.

· High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 4 years of experience in DA/MH,

OR

· BA/BS in Social Services/Human Services or Criminal Justice with a minimum of 1 year experience in DA/MH.

· Must be available to work one evening per week.

· Possess ability to administer the PA Client Placement Criteria (PCPC) assessment.

· Must be able to obtain clearance to conduct TASC screens in the Allegheny County Jail.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

· Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

· Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCMC)

· Driver's License

· Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal

· Act 33 with renewal

· Act 34 with renewal

· Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
