GENERAL FUNCTION

The Quality Assurance Manager directs and coordinates overall quality department activities for the Distribution Center/ Warehouse to ensure quality KPIs/scorecard metrics are met. The Manager leads site quality improvement at facility via sustainable quality systems and uses in depth data analysis and leads by example to drive continuous improvement programs.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leads site quality improvement at facility via sustainable quality systems (i.e., Controlled documentation, execution of Change Control program, validation systems, execution of process control strategies, etc.).

  • Executes problem solving/root cause analysis tools (like Six Sigma methodology) to identify and develop improvement programs. Root Cause Analysis includes delivering site breakage & store reject reduction goals through data analysis and collaboration with Corporate QA, Engineering, Procurement, Transportation, Data Analysts.

  • Initiates the implementation of Basic Quality Tools Such as Pareto Analysis, Histogram , Fishbone etc. and leads by examples to improve quality KPIs

  • Leads and implements ISO compliance program at the site as foundation to customer quality.

  • Collaborates and influences training systems at site as driver of improved quality results.

  • Leads development of multifunctional plan to drive improved logistics quality results.

  • Leads quality projects via project management tools to drive rigor in quality project execution.

  • Leads through example to enable a quality culture that places consumer and customer needs.

  • Leads development & execution of quality improvement plans as well as result sustainment of base quality assurance program along with Standardization and Benchmarks

  • Acts as an influential leader in and out of the warehouse via feedback , team building from Quality Director, Operations Team.

  • Leads use of automated data analysis to expedite reaction to quality issues and analyses data as necessary to drive improvement.

  • Acts as the liaison between Customer Service and Operations leadership team to drive awareness and issue resolution that helps sustain/improve quality results.

  • Serves as a Kaizen/ problem solving expert within the site to enable the elevated level of plant credibility needed to deliver quality assurance/plant results and cost savings.

  • Leads different cross functional teams Continuous Improvement Approach within the distribution Center to make sure of Zero Defects by working on Human Errors

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS Engineering

  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification, Experienced in Continuous Improvement / Lean tools

  • ISO Standards Knowledge and Experience in Quality Training and Audits.

  • 10+ years’ experience in areas of quality assurance, and leading quality teams

  • Strong Skills in SAP data access and report generation activities.

  • Persuasive communication skills at all levels of the organization

  • Strong Excel (Pivot Tables), Microsoft Project, Power Point with ability to learn shared software for reporting.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Engineering MS or MBA

  • Warehouse and Distribution Center Experience

  • Six Sigma Knowledge /World Class Manufacturing/Lean methodology

  • Project Management Knowledge, PMP certification
