Air Cruisers Company Shipping Stock Clerk in McComb, Mississippi

The Shipping Stock Clerk will handle and package material in accordance with IATA and DOT specifications.

  • Responsible for packing and labeling non-hazardous materials in a suitable strong outer container. Sufficient cushioning/dunnage shall be used inside the container to prevent damage from occurring to contents during transit.
  • Responsible for packing and labeling hazardous materials in accordance with the IATA/DOT regulations.
  • Responsible for processing al shipments by verifying that the material that appears on the sales order pick list is in their possession and following all detailed shipping instructions that are indicated on the sales order.
  • Issues all documents necessary for transportation of the product, (i.e., packing list, invoices, restricted article documents) shall be affixed to all packages prior to shipment.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

  • Must be able to lift 75-100 lbs.

  • The work environment involves working near moving or mechanical equipment. The employee is regularly exposed to fumes and airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level is moderate production/manufacturing noises.
Job requirements

Education and/or Experience

  • One year certificate from college or technical school or 3-6 months related experience and/or training. Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Ability to operate specific equipment or tools.
  • Ability to use a computer.
  • Ability to work with specific computer software.
  • Familiarity with industry terminology

Language Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and technical and regulation manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before small groups of customers or employees of an organization.

Mathematical Skills:

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • One year certificate from college or technical school.
