Southwest Mississippi Community College ServSafe Adjunct Instructor in McComb, Mississippi

Job Description: The ServSafe Instructor will be responsible for delivering high-quality food safety training programs to our clients in accordance with ServSafe guidelines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food safety, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to engage and educate diverse audiences. This job description is not intended to be all inclusive and the employee will also perform other reasonably related duties. This position reports directly to assigned Workforce Training Coordinator.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Teaches program specific workforce courses.

• Develops curriculum for specified/selected classes.

• Collaborates with Workforce Program Coordinators to develop Workforce schedules.

• Teaches courses at a variety of times and locations, including evening and weekends.

• Serves as a community resource person and represents the college to outside groups when requested.

• Submits required college reports and forms.

• Develops and utilizes a course syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines.

• Advises students in career and program matters.

• Provides timely, quality access to students through electronic communication, or other appropriate method

Salary: Commensurate with experience

 

Qualifications:

Preferred: Certified ServSafe Instructor and Proctor designation.

Required: High School Diploma or GED, ServSafe Certified Food Protection Manager Certification, 5 years of experience working in the service industry, with a focus on food safety and sanitation.
