Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center Patient Access Supervisor in McComb, Mississippi

Performs clerical and receptionist duties at the Patient Access desk, greets visitors and patients, assists staff in coordinating and communicating information required for admittance, dismissal, and insurance billing, under the supervision of the Patient Access Manager. Demonstrates the ability to work with people from diverse social-economic backgrounds for guiding patients through the admissions process, and adapt to a rapidly changing environment, completes the registration using the EHR system, ensures documentation is saved appropriately in electronic medical record, explains the Admission Authorization, and obtains patient signatures for treatment and billing purposes, copies/scans, sorts, and files all admission documentation in designated areas. They are responsible for insurance verification and documentation of pre-cert requirements. The Patient Access Supervisor provides leadership and instructions to registration personnel and helps with training of new personnel. Must be able to work and relate in a professional, non-defensive manner with peers.
