Purpose and role of job:

Responsible for providing support in the Human Resources department for activities such as recruiting, interviewing, hiring, administering benefits, and providing assistance to employees.

Principal Accountabilities/ Responsibilities:

  • Administers hourly recruitment process, which includes arranging and conducting interviews, and tracking all openings.
  • Tracks applicant flow through Workday.
  • Recruits hourly candidates through advertisements through social media, websites, radio stations, etc.
  • Coordinates post-offer, pre-employment drug screens and physicals for new team members.
  • Conducts orientations for all new employees.
  • Regularly spends time on production floor to be available to all team members.
  • Administers medical, dental, life insurance, disability, 401K, FMLA, Workers' Compensation, and incentive benefits.
  • Updates FMLA and Disability Logs.
  • Organizes and scans all information that is included in team member files.
  • Coordinates events such as the Thanksgiving Meal, Christmas Party, Summer Picnic, United Way, etc.
  • Performs other duties as necessary when directed to do so.
  • Follows necessary GMP, FDA, and ISO regulations/guidelines.
  • Observes all safety rules and uses the proper safety equipment at all times.

Education and experience requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
  • One to two years of experience preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to keep sensitive information confidential.
