DESCRIPTION OF WORK This job includes the provision and monitoring of services to families to assist them in meeting the health, safety, and well-being needs of their children; placement services for children; and services to reunify the children with family or to find permanence in a timely manner.  Workers have the opportunity to receive on-the-job training as well as training from the Child Welfare Resource Center.  This agency also conducts assessments made to Childline or our agency regarding the safety and well-being of children in Fulton County.  Workers have the opportunity to coordinate and team up with other community resources to assist families in living their best lives.  There is opportunity for advancement within the agency.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment. Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Caseworker is required to participate in on-call rotation. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Six months of experience as a County Caseworker 1; or Successful completion of the County Social Casework Intern program; or A bachelor's degree with a social welfare major; or A bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences and one year of professional social casework experience in a public or private social service agency; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences. Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within two months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credits. Other Requirements: PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title. This particular position also requires applicants to possess a valid drivers license which is not under suspension. You must be able to perform essential job functions. Legal Requirements:

This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
