The Service Rep at LOC Internal Medicine sets the tone for the Patient Experience. Strong customer service, multitasking, and compassion required. This role supports in-person check in, registration, scheduling, and Telephone triage for our primary care patients. The LOC Internal Medicine Clinic is Monday-Friday. Service Representative promotes increased utilization of Loyola services by maintaining a customer service attitude that reflects the mission, vision and values of Loyola Medicine.

Ensures effective clerical operations for the service area and performs all job duties under

the highest customer service standards to exceed customer expectations.

Conveys a professional and positive image of Loyola Medicine during interactions with patients, families, physicians, staff

members and internal departments.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  1. Greeting patients entering the physician practice.

  2. Answering office phones, making appointments.

  3. Checks in patients and collects accurate patient demographics, enters data into electronic system and verifies insurance.

  4. Assists in checking out patients and assists them with referral processing and scheduling process

  5. Collects co-pays and posts charges.

  6. Charge entry and patient balance processing.

Minimum Education: Required:

Associates degree OR equivalent training acquired via work experience or education

Training in general administrative, business, healthcare or related field
