We are searching for dynamic individuals who desire to join a dedicated and progressive team as a Journeyman/Journeywoman Toolmaker / Moldmaker With the proper skill and work ethic this is a very well-paid position with overtime available. This is a Full-Time First shift TOOLMAKER / MOLDMAKER position and is for a person who likes challenging work and is able to problem solve in a fast-paced tool and die shop. Responsibilities The Lead Toolmaker / Moldmaker will provide direction and leadership to the production floor and work seamlessly with our toolmaker team at our custom plastic injection mold building facility in Mauston, WI. Build components for new tools, existing tools and molds through the use of a fully modern plastic injection mold building facility Complete tasks handed down from the design/engineering team to build plastic injection molds Use of appropriate machining techniques to provide a quality plastic part meeting needs of the customer Builds molds with a high degree of accuracy for total hours Attend and contribute to staff and facility meetings Responsible for satisfying customer expectations on product quality and timely delivery Trains and guides fellow Toolmakers / Moldmakers as needed Make sure all subordinates have all necessary information in hand so they can make their decisions on a timely basis Qualifications Education and Experience Minimum (two) 2 years of experience in mold making or completion of an accredited apprenticeship program in either mold making or tool and die Experience in plastic injection molding Experience in building different kinds of mold is preferred Experience w/ SolidWorks or other mechanical CAD systems Qualifications Skills and Competencies Courage indicated by strength of character, and ability to deal with trouble and make good judgement calls Knowledge of plastic injection molding/metal materials and associated processes of Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, and sales team Strong communication (verbal and written), teamwork and organizational skills Ability to think out of the box and recommended options Ability to effectively prioritize tasks, be flexible, and self-directing Demonstrate a focus on Continuous Improvement, and promote that culture\' ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Courage indicated by strength of character, and ability to deal with trouble and make good judgement calls Knowledge of plastic injection molding/metal materials and associated processes of Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, and sales team Strong communication (verbal and written), teamwork and organizational skills Ability to think out of the box and recommended options Ability to effectively prioritize tasks, be flexible, and self-directing Demonstrate a focus on Continuous Improvement, and promote that culture\' ***** APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: E-Mail a Rsum: accounting@maustontool.com
