Description Core Responsibilities: P&L leadership and overall balance sheet stewardship for division, with particular focus on KPIS such as working capital improvement (inventory turns and inventory management) Empowers teams with a leadership/management style that is collaborative, inclusive and balanced in approach to achieve commitments. Identifies, shares and leverages best practices across the business as appropriate. Responsible for the performance, overall development and operation of the Maumee division. Leads the facility with a result driven framework focused on safety, quality and continuous improvement to meet customer demand and other identified division goals. Formulates and recommends key business strategies/programs, to guide and direct the location in establishing, maintaining and improving its competitive position and profitability in the marketplace. Drives the development and implementation of innovative solutions to meet the needs of the customer today and in the future. Leads, models, and drives the transformation efforts through collaboration with BES leadership to ensure the implementation of the robust BES Next Generation future state strategy. Drives the strategic plans for inventory management, warehouse capacity, finished goods planning and other key distribution center/light assembly metrics such as , days working capital (DWC), receipts value accuracy and total inventory value Plans, leads and directs at the within the established operating metrics/goals. Effectively integrates assembly and material functions ensuring processes result in high quality throughput. Demonstrates collaborative leadership with other locations worldwide to ensure optimal global performance and results. Leads and ensures the successful implementation of profit and productivity improvement initiatives as they relate to the business plan/strategy. Recognizes and rewards employees for their efforts to drive results. Provides leadership and employee development through the effective selection of talent, performance management, training/development, coaching/mentoring and motivation of employees in alignment with the business goals and objectives. Directs preparation and reviews division cost estimates, staffing levels and facility requirement forecasts. Reports, studies and analyzes division's performance and takes action on operating elements such as production costs, warehousing expenses, quality, logistics impact, inventory, management, and expenses. Acts in accordance with Barnes Code of Conduct and Values Qualifications: Minimum of 8 to 10 years of operations, distribution or light assembly experience. At least 5 years of experience of effectively leading and managing people. A proven track record of implementing and successfully executing strategies to build and sustain a high-performance work environment. Demonstrated leadership effectiveness (EI). Must be an effective change leader; balances consistency with flexibility and willing to change ideas in the face of new information. Prior experience working in a fast pace environment consisting of high product mix, low volume order quantities Proven ability to work within a heavily matrix organizational structure Views problems from a total business perspective, considering economic opportunity, required investment, risks and anticipated paybacks.
