Heidelberg Materials is seeking a qualified Aggregates Maintenance Manager located in South Carolina.

Reporting to the Area Operations Manager, the Aggregates Maintenance Manager position is responsible for providing technical advice, leadership and field service support to operation management and maintenance personnel. This includes both internal and external resources. The position is responsible for providing direction in field repair and preventative/predictive maintenance for heavy plant equipment.

What you’ll get to do:

  • Collaborate with management staff on necessary plant equipment repairs.

  • Adhere to all company policies and safety procedures.

  • Track and provide repair & maintenance spend on assigned tasks. Assist with budget preparations for planned repairs and capital spend forecasts.

  • Ensure plant equipment is maintained to minimize unscheduled downtime.

  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment.

  • Ensures plant maintenance equipment is kept in a good and safe working condition.

  • Lead project safety meetings and promote a safety culture.

  • Assist with yearly plant budgets, focusing on Repair and Maintenance Budget for South Carolina.

  • Assist with implementation of standardized fixed plant maintenance program and serve as leader/trainer during rollout in the Southeast Region. Manage the program in South Carolina.

  • Schedules, performs, and leads plant construction, demolition, steel work and equipment placement projects.

  • Supervises required plant maintenance staff and/or contracted resources assigned to specific tasks.

What we’re looking for:

  • 5-10 years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • A proactive and efficient self-starter, capable of working productively with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to react quickly to unscheduled events, plan and identify resources required to bring plants back online in a timely manner.

  • Flexibility with extended hours, and availability during weekends and/or off-shift hours as needed.

  • Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets P&L, budgets & cost reports.

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, co-workers, suppliers.

  • Ability to ensure CMMS program is being used correctly & efficiently.

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, total cost, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, angles, total quantities and volume.

  • Ability to apply concepts of basic math, trigonometry and geometry.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establishes facts, and draw valid conclusions.

  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

  • Ability to communicate clear and concise instructions in a professional manner.

  • Valid driver’s license.

Role operates in a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, elevated noise levels, and dusty conditions
