Ankura Director, Licensing Maintenance in Massachusetts

Responsibilities:

  • Strong knowledge of state regulatory, exam and licensing process. May include conducting additional research as needed; May require reviewing work conducted by Associates;

  • Effectively and efficiently lead lower complexity state license maintenance, exam support, and services projects related to remaining in good standing with states under the direction of project lead;

  • Effectively and efficiently support the client base and project lead on complex state regulatory, exam and licensing matters;

  • Lead lower complexity or support the project lead on more complex specialized state projects such as transfers of control and regulatory remediation;

  • Maintains constant communications with project lead and senior leadership to ensure coordination of activities and manage expectations.

Requirements:

  • At least 7-10 years of related experience;

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Advanced degree(s) and or applicable professional certifications preferred.

  • Deep Experience with Money Transmitters [MSB, FinTech’s, payment companies], consumer lending companies, commercial lending, mortgage lending, consumer collections agencies and securities/brokerage [broker dealer, registered investment advisor, exempt registered advisor] and cannabis is the ideal candidate;

  • Strong knowledge of license acquisition and maintenance for the above-mentioned license types is required;

  • High degree of knowledge of NMLS system (required) and IARD/CRD system (preferred);

  • Superior attention to detail, sets and works to high standards, highly organized, and able to get up to speed rapidly;

  • At ease multi-tasking under deadlines, calm under pressure, flexible and working outside comfort zone;

  • Understands project objectives, scope and client expectations. Submits work product with minimal errors. Understands role and personal impact on project profitability.

  • For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in California, Colorado, or New York, Ankura is required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the said markets and takes into account a broad range of factors including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Ankura, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each role. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range is between $85,000 to $200,000; this range is not a promise of a particular wage.
