How you will make an Impact (Job Summary) SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As a member of the Paint team, you are responsible to ensure all parts are free from defect and properly painted/powder coated. What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities) While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be: Safety Follow all safety rules and adhere to core value of business. Maintain clean, orderly work areas and equipment. Report repairs and/or issues to team lead or supervisor. Quality Ensure proper and effective operation of entire finishing system throughout the painting process so that all parts and surfaces are free from defects. Monitor quality of own work and immediately report defective material,unusual conditions, and/or operating difficulties to team lead or supervisor. Perform light maintenance on equipment, machines, and other devicesusedin thenormal course of the work performed. Delivery Ability to read work orders so that the correct part numbers are selected, and correct color is applied to parts. Daily documentation of work performed for required production records. Utilize small tools such as grinders to remove scratches, excess weldmaterial and burrs. Operatesandblasting machine to clean surfaces prior to painting or coating. Coordinate staging and sequencing of hanging of parts, production items, and product components to be painted on overhead conveyor system. Operate spray painting guns,equipment, and related items in the appropriate/efficient manner, being sureto follow all safety and OSHA standards. Unload of parts, items, and product components.
