Job Description:
The Configuration Management intern is an engineering support role that performs Configuration Management functions to establish and oversee consistency of product data while supporting all aspects of a program as directed by the program Senior Configuration Manager. This role provides on-demand support to various engineering and program management teams as a support for as-builts, SDRL deliveries and other tasking as required.
Essential Functions:
Interface with multiple disciplines and levels of program regularly to ensure adequate Data Management support while receiving limited guidance from program Configuration Manager
Interface with existing configuration management toolsets, to include Agile Product Data Management (PDM) including customer portal for data deliver as a minimum.
Assist senior program Configuration Manager in performing internal audits to verify compliance with contract requirements and command media.
Work with senior program Configuration Manager and provide suggestions for improvement or enhancements to processes to improve performance of job area
May provide other functional support as assigned by program Configuration Manager or functional leadership.
Ability to work overtime, on-call and/or outside of normal business hours as needed to meet critical deadlines and business requirements.
Qualifications:
Pursuing Bachelor or Master's Degree in engineering or related field
Experience providing customer service and support to multiple internal and external customers, and other stakeholders in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
Experience using version control tools such as Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Agile PDM
Knowledge of SDRL process and requirements for delivery to customers.
Understanding of part/assy Serialization and how assigned using Agile PDM.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Knowledge of Configuration and Data Management principles as they apply to hardware
Understanding of Agile PDM Lifecycle
Knowledge of customer portal delivery process and ability to easily deliver data items using portal.
Experience with As-Built process
Ability to deal with dynamic team in constant state of change and strong personalities
Strong organizational skills
