Job Requisition #: 027452 Shipper (Open) Job Description: 2nd shift 2pm 10pm Starting rate: $19.50 per hour start with $.90 shift premium (up to $25.17 per hour within 2 years) Benefits Package includes: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and Tuition Reimbursement. Eligible on the 1st day of hire! Paid Holidays- 10 Vacation - 10 paid days (prorated in 1st year depending on hire date) Key Responsibilities: Check outbound orders for defects and accuracy according to order specs. Prepare BOLs Move freight, stock or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, or containers, by hand, using pallet jacks, or forklifts. Ensure safe and accurate loading of orders. Unload raw materials from inbound trucks. Verify accuracy of orders received. Assists with month end inventory. Place raw materials in correct area of warehouse or production floor. Ability to secure the trailer with a load lock and/or cargo net. Load trailers in a fashion where nothing tips over. Maintain clean and orderly warehouse at all times. Promotes clean shipping supply area by complying with procedures, rules and regulations. Follow safety regulations. Any other duties as needed. Maintain forklift certification. Requirements Computer experience in a Shipping environment. Typically possess 1-2 years of relevant experience, as well as 1-2 years forklift experience in logistics and or shipping department. Must have basic math skills Must be able to lift 40 lbs. Must be self-motivated. Ability to follow directions as instructed. Must be a team player. Must have great attendance record. Ability to work with a team in a fast paced environment. Must have good organizational and time-management skills. Must have good interpersonal and communication skills. Forklift Certification preferred.
