Job Description:

The Material Handler plays a critical role in our warehouse and logistics operations by ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of materials and inventory. Working closely with the warehouse team, the Material Handler will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials, as well as maintaining inventory accuracy and organizing warehouse space.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive incoming shipments and verify the accuracy of materials received against packing slips or purchase orders .

  • Unload and load trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.

  • Safely transport materials to designated storage areas within the warehouse using appropriate handling methods and equipment.

  • Label and tag materials with identification and tracking information as required .

  • Perform regular inventory counts and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.

  • Prepare materials for shipment, including picking, packing, and staging orders for delivery .

  • Assist with order fulfillment and shipping activities as needed, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of materials to customers .

  • Keep warehouse clean, organized, and free of safety hazards at all times.

  • Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

  • Collaborate with other warehouse team members and departments to optimize warehouse operations and meet production and delivery schedules.

    Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics or warehouse operations is a plus .

  • Proven experience as a Material Handler or similar role in a warehouse or distribution center environment .

  • Preferred forklift operator certification and experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently .

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks such as counting, labeling, and recording inventory data.

  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects and operate manual and powered material handling equipment .

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment .

  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team .

  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory management software is preferred .

    Schedule:

  • Monday-Thursday 12pm-8:15pm.

  • Friday – 7am-3:15pm.

  • Mandatory Overtime as needed.

    • Hours may change to a standard Monday-Friday 3:00-11:15pm shift in the future*.
