Town of Mashpee Board Secretaries in Mashpee, Massachusetts

The Town of Mashpee welcomes applications for part time Board Secretaries, \$22.28/hour - \$24.24/hour commensurate with qualifications and experience. This position works part time periodic hours depending on the boards/committees to which they are assigned. May include virtual meetings. Day and evening assignments available Monday through Friday. Guaranteed minimum pay of four hours for each meeting attended. Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or GED; at least 2 years of office experience performing work of a like or similar nature; or any equivalent combination of education, training or experience which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the essential functions of the job. Must have knowledge of Open Meeting Law and Public Records Law. Skill to efficiently prepare accurate concise meeting minutes. Must possess a valid MA driver?s license (Class D). Must successfully pass a C.O.R.I. background check. Responsibilities: Provides administrative and secretarial support to Town boards /committees to which assigned to. Produces proper meeting notices, attends meetings, takes notes, records proceedings, prepares meeting minutes and files approved minutes with the Town Clerk.
