If the role interests you and you would like to be considered we encourage you to apply! We are looking for a Project Engineering Manager who will join our engineering team. The Project Engineering Manager is responsible for the management, planning, execution, and reporting of key projects. Focus areas for this position are capital project execution and cost savings initiatives. Activities range from end-to-end project management including project ideation, generation of project charter, timeline, technology selection, implementation supervision, startup, and project closeout. This position is a resource to supporting key strategic areas within the Supply Chain and the overall business. This role may have up to 75% travel during peak season - we are open to where you are located, just need to be near an airport! What you'll do in this role: * Lead all aspects of capital project management to deliver various project scopes on time and within budget. * Lead multiple simultaneous projects and initiatives across different business units, regions, technology, and scopes. * Support cross-functional efforts to implement improvements throughout network. * Present regular project updates to key stakeholders, including sr. leadership * Partner with internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and define the parameters to ensure delivery of high-quality solutions. * Provide direction, and technical expertise to associates, cross-functional partners, and consultants to facilitate timely execution and collaboration. * Travel to locations across the Scotts network to ensure flawless project implementations. Note, for this role, travel could be 50%+ of the time depending on the assigned initiatives and projects. What you'll need to be successful: * Bachelor degree required, preferred majors in engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.) * 5+ years of relevant experience, 7+ preferred * Manufacturing technical depth and understanding * Leading and influencing large scale changes including driving results and repeatable success * Engaging Leadership skills and experience aligning and influencing others * Be willing and able to travel up to 75% during peak season The starting budgeted pay range for this role will generally fall between $108,300.00 - $127,400.00 per year. Scotts will consider various factors in determining the actual pay including your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location.
