Marysville Ethanol, LLC Process Engineer in Marysville, Michigan

Job Description

Process Engineer is responsible for implementing, evaluating and improving the production of Fuel and High Purity Alcohol.

Essential Duties

  • Monitor and optimize the performance of production processes
  • Develop and review P&IDs
  • Drive continuous improvements
  • Design and implement safety procedures, work procedures and work practices
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations
  • Provide problem solutions through good trouble shooting techniques
  • Design and plan equipment layout
  • Work with contractors
  • Manage projects
  • Develop and conduct production validations
  • Perform mass and energy balances
  • Available for rotating on call responsibilities
  • Able to act as an Incident Commander
  • Train operators, maintenance and other facility personnel
  • Design and implement test plans

Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivation, with a high sense of urgency
  • Ability to lead by example
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, including comprehension of oral and written instructions
  • Strong documentation skills, with an eye for detail and organization
  • Ability to build effective relationships and work as part of a team
  • Capacity to develop procedures
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering

Work Experience

Previous experience in an ethanol, chemical or pharmaceutical production facility is highly desirable.

Hours of Operation

Position is located in Marysville, Michigan.  Position is full time salaried.
