Description

Position is responsible for maintaining, calibrating, troubleshooting & repairing electrical & electronic equipment throughout the production facility.

Essential Duties

  • Performs routine maintenance & calibration of process instrumentation
  • Performs routine maintenance & calibration of process valves & positioners
  • Troubleshoots instrumentation, electrical & valve problems
  • Repairs instrumentation & valves
  • Understands Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Distributed Control Systems (DCS) programming
  • Generally works with 480 volts and below
  • Communicates results verbally and in writing
  • Maintains accurate calibration records, including paper forms and files, and electronic forms and databases
  • Interpret Instrumentation and Electrical prints
  • Follows SOP's and established safety guidelines
  • Follows personal protective equipment requirements, which includes wearing of flame retardant clothing
  • Maintains work area in a clean, safe and appropriate condition
  • Works outside in all weather conditions
  • Must be able to work at heights

Requirements

  • Strong work ethic and self-motivation, with a high sense of urgency

Credentials and Work Experience

Bachelor of Science or Technical Degree in Electrical / Electronics, Military Electronics training or prior experience as an Instrumentation Technician / Journeyman Electrician is highly desired for the position.

Hours of Operation

Positions is located in Marysville, Michigan.  Position is full time (40 hours/week).  Typical hours are 7 am - 3:30 pm Monday through Friday.  Must be willing to work overtime and off shift hours, including weekends and holidays.

Wage $25 to $40 Hourly (wage will commensurate with experience)
