Spectrum Software Engineer IV in Maryland Heights, Missouri

TITLE: Software Engineer V

LOCATION: Maryland Heights, MO

JOB SUMMARY: Develop, modify, enhance, and maintain software systems and applications designed to support new and existing business initiatives. Member of the Agent Portals team, which develops applications used by call center agents to answer questions and solve issues for customers quickly and accurately. Partner with Business Analysts, Product Owners, User Experience Specialists, and other supporting roles to refine business and non-functional requirements to enable software development efforts. Collaborate with Integration Analysts, business tier service teams, and other supporting roles to define web service interfaces and integration patterns. Coordinate with Solution Architects, Application Architects, and other supporting roles to create high level and detailed design documentation. Work with Scrum Masters, Delivery Managers, and product owners to establish priority and roadmaps for development of overall product, as well as individual software features. Work with Scrum Masters and development teams to develop and deliver software features and enhancements which have been analyzed, designed, and planned, following Agile software development methodologies. Team with Delivery Managers, release management team, and other supporting roles to create and deploy software modules to various environments used for integration testing, quality assurance, user acceptance testing, disaster recovery, training, and production. Collaborate with Production Support, Business Analysts, Quality Assurance and other supporting roles to understand and fix software defects. Provide software development and business domain- related mentorship and guidance for new team members and other software developers. Develop, modify, enhance, and maintain web services interfaces and integration patterns using TIBCO suite of products, Java, and SQL. Review software code, including: TIBCO EMS, TIBCO Active Spaces, TIBCO Hawk, Git/BitBucket, SQL developer tools, Java, Eclipse IDE, Docker, Linux Shell scripting, Consul, and Appdynamics. Work with REST API design and development using TIBCO Business works.

EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any), or a related field. 3 years of experience: developing, modifying, enhancing, and maintaining web services interfaces and integration patterns using TIBCO suite of products, Java, and SQL; reviewing software code, including: TIBCO EMS, TIBCO Active Spaces, TIBCO Hawk, Git/BitBucket, SQL developer tools, Java, Eclipse IDE, Docker, Linux Shell scripting, Consul, and Appdynamics; collaborating with Solution Architect professionals to create detailed design documentation; and leveraging Agile methodologies to develop code, establish priorities, roadmaps, and enhancements for software features. 1 year of experience in REST API design and development using TIBCO Business works. A hybrid (office and remote) work arrangement is available.
