Growing manufacturer in St. Louis is seeking a Mechanical Sales Engineer to add to their team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and solid experience in HVAC design/manufacturing. Must be willing to travel about 25% to customers in the U.S. Proficiency in MS Excel required, as well as being goal-oriented and ambitious.

All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day activities and securing orders from assigned accounts and markets.

  • Work individual requests for quotes to provide an optimal and satisfactory solution for the customer that also satisfies company goals

  • Educate and work with key accounts within market assignments to develop relationships and make sales

  • Follow projects post-sale through the warranty period

  • Read and interpret technical specifications (Bid documents) and plans (Blueprints).

  • Compile estimates for bid pricing

  • Apply understanding of project terms for HVAC unit components including manufacturer recommendations, design and industry standards

  • Travel to close projects and to deliver presentations.

  • Attend trade shows as needed

  • Develop and maintain relationships with factory representatives

Requirements:

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering required

  • 3-5 years of experience with HVAC design and/or manufacturing

  • Proficiency in MS Excel

  • Ability to travel about 25% in the U.S.

  • Ability to read mechanical drawings

  • Excellent organizational skills
