Eagle Harbor, LLC a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC and a Federal Contracting industry leader is looking for a Technical Writer to join our team in Martinsburg, WV.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, write, and Edit material for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books, catalogs, and related technical and administrative publications concerned with work methods and procedures, and installation, operation, and maintenance of machinery and other equipment

  • Observe production, developmental, and experimental activities to determine operating procedure and detail

  • Interview production personnel and read journals, reports, and other material to become familiar with product technologies and production methods, and reviews manufacturers and trade catalogs, drawings and other data relative to operation, maintenance, and service of equipment

  • Study specifications to integrate and delineate technology, operating procedure, and production sequence and detail, organizes material

  • Complete writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology; and reviews published materials and recommends revisions or changes in scope, format, content, and methods of reproduction and binding

  • Maintain records and files of work and revisions, select diagrams, and charts to illustrate material; assist in laying out material for publication, arrange for typing, duplication, and distribution of material, write speeches, articles, and public or employee relations releases, edit, standardize, or make changes to material prepared by others

Requirements:

  • US Citizen

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check

  • Must be able to pass Agency Clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field, submission of a portfolio of technical documents that candidate has produced for evaluation can be substituted for full degree at the discretion of the Program Manager

  • Experience with technical writing in a business environment, to include writing documents related to work procedures, reports, manuals, administrative publications, and work methods

  • Experience related to conducting studies to integrate and delineate technology, operating procedure, and production sequence and detail, organizes material, and completes writing assignmentaccordingtosetstandardsregardingorder,clarity,conciseness,style,andterminology

  • Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with technical writing in a government environment

  • Experience writing documents within an ISO compliant environment
