Aerotek Refinery Technician in Martinez, California
Description:
Environmental Refinery Contractor is looking for long term field technicians to perform work at various refinery sites. They manage vapor mitigation for the refinery tanks. This will involve monitoring the equipment such as Thermo-oxider, loading and unloading materials such as carbon. These are set 12 hour shifts that are day and night shift - must be flexible to work both. Also must be flexible to travel nationally up to 25% of time.
Day to Day: Working with thermo-oxidizer, storage tank degassing, pumping out the liquid, hook up to storage tanks, units, and undergrounds. Working with vapor phase where activated charcoal removes smell and captures organic as is. Hydro tests. Operating forklift in yard. Can be a dirty job when removing charcoal. Will get all over clothes and body. Logging data on paper but switching over to logging on cell and being sent to HQ real time. Company cell phone is provided.
