If you’re ready to change the way the world moves, join us at BlueOval Battery Park Michigan, a new state-of-the-art facility in Marshall, Michigan. You’ll be a key part of the launch team that will help bring the electrification revolution to driveways, job sites, and highways everywhere. BlueOval Battery Park Michigan will produce the lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery cells to power the next-generation Ford EV passenger vehicles and trucks under development.

This new wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Company will create more than 1,700 jobs when production begins in 2026.

This role will be working hybrid out of Marshall, MI (relocation package available)!

What you will also do…

  • Lead the business planning of BlueOval Battery Park Michigan including implementing strategies in alignment with Company goals and initiatives.

  • Coordinate with cross functional teams and leadership on business cases, capacity actions, production requirements, tooling and procurement of equipment, volume, and incoming material planning to ensure compliance.

  • Guide the evaluation of business cases and work across cross-functional organizations to ensure all aspects of the business are being met and that company goals are achieved.

  • Evaluate future business projects, guide and coordinate studies, support and manage new product and material introduction.

  • Define and develop plant objectives to meet business plans, capacity & headcount targets, and key performance indicators.

  • Conduct analysis and prepare reports on key performance business metrics.

  • Manage commercial work as required, including agreements with companies as future technology is developed and implemented.

  • Support and manage continuous improvement activities in safety, environmental, quality, cost, efficiency and productivity.

  • Demonstrate empathy and embrace Gemba philosophy by engaging regularly with all employees to listen and problem solve.

  • Champion the formation of the culture required to achieve the Vision, Mission, and Values to deliver performance objectives.

  • Enable a culture of learning through demonstration of effective communication skills.

  • Develop ‘leaders as teachers’ at all levels by ensuring all employees receive necessary training, coaching, and support to optimize performance and advance both the overall organization as well as self.

You'll have…

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering and or equivalent experience.

  • 10+ years of leadership experience in automotive, battery or other electromechanical manufacturing.

  • 10+ years of experience in business, material logistics and capacity planning.

  • Strong leadership skills and experience leading, attracting, and developing strong results-oriented teams.

  • Experience managing high degrees of complexity in processes and communication with all levels of leadership.

It is anticipated within 30 days of selection, the successful candidate for this position will become a secondee from the Ford Motor Company to BlueOval Battery Park Michigan. A secondee is an employee who will continue to be employed by the Ford Motor Company, however, will work at BlueOval Battery Park Michigan. The employee will remain an employee of the Ford Motor Company for purposes compensation, benefits, and other terms and conditions of employment. There may be additional terms and conditions of employment with BlueOval Battery Park Michigan which will be communicated to you in advance of your secondment.
