If you’re ready to change the way the world moves, join us at BlueOval Battery Park Michigan, a new state-of-the-art facility in Marshall, Michigan. You’ll be a key part of the launch team that will help bring the electrification revolution to driveways, job sites, and highways everywhere. BlueOval Battery Park Michigan will produce the lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery cells to power the next-generation Ford EV passenger vehicles and trucks under development.

This new wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Company will create more than 1,700 jobs when production begins in 2026.

This role will start remote and then will be working hybrid out of Marshall, MI, with expectation to be on-Site at Marshall once offices are available (relocation package available).

  • Provide Material Control and Logistics functional expertise, including launch planning, change control, bill of material, parts follow-up, scheduling, inventory planning, cycle checking, distribution, logistics, material handling, packaging, and industrial material.

  • Achieve business results by leading the development and delivery of key performance indicator’s to ensure department objectives support overall business objectives.

  • Drive continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles.

  • Motivate teams by leveraging technology and best-in-class manufacturing systems.

  • Support employees by removing barriers to their success and developing their knowledge, skills, and abilities.

  • Lead change efforts to construct and achieve manufacturing standards.

  • Demonstrate empathy and embrace Gemba philosophy by engaging regularly with employees in production environments to listen and problem solve.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

  • 5 years of manufacturing, engineering, or operations experience in leadership roles.

  • Ability to travel extensively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree.

  • 5+ years of battery cell related manufacturing experience.

  • 5+ years of managerial experience leading teams.

  • Experience succeeding in high levels of complexity, exposure, to multiple business issues, ambiguity, and conflict.

It is anticipated within 30 days of selection, the successful candidate for this position will become a secondee from the Ford Motor Company to BlueOval Battery Park Michigan. A secondee is an employee who will continue to be employed by the Ford Motor Company, however, will work at BlueOval Battery Park Michigan. The employee will remain an employee of the Ford Motor Company for purposes compensation, benefits, and other terms and conditions of employment. There may be additional terms and conditions of employment with BlueOval Battery Park Michigan which will be communicated to you in advance of your secondment.
