Position Summary:
Responds to calls for emergency medical services and provides patient care as directed and/or determined necessary.
Reports to: Supervisor/ Manager

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Safely navigates ambulance to patient's location. Provides stabilization of scene and requests additional assistance as necessary. Drag Edit Delete
Determines nature and extent of illness or injury and patient's history from available sources. Administers emergency medical care within scope of practice, including patient stabilization, monitoring, and resuscitation, from the scene to receiving medical facility. Drag Edit Delete
Contacts medical personnel, reports/records observations, and follows directives from supervising Physician or Registered Nurse. Drag Edit Delete
Maintains equipment, restocks supplies and cleans ambulance as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:

Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Drag Edit Delete

Required Skills Certifications: Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (Preferred) Trauma Course (ITLS or PHTLS) (Preferred) Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) (Preferred) Coaching the Emergency Vehicle Operator (CEVO), VFIS Driver Training, or equivalent (preferred) Drag Edit Delete
