Non-profit Operations Manager - $18/hour

-Operations Manager for a small non-profit organization in Marquette, MI

-Will work 4 days per week, 36 hours per week

-Maintain the day-to-day operations

● Provide leadership and support as the primary supervisor . Operations Managers are responsible for maintaining the Center's inventory, purchases, training, and scheduling personnel, including but not limited to staff, volunteers, visiting affiliates, etc.

● Help guests develop meaningful relationships. Operations Managers are responsible for reviewing nightly intakes, so all staff members are aware of who is present within our facilities.

● Assess and respond to community needs and assist guests with developing a sense of self-sufficiency.

● Follow-up on any incident reports in a timely manner and address behavioral concerns through the use of restorative practices.

Job responsibilities:

● Responsible for daily operations including cleanliness, safety, and security of the facility to ensure the building and facilities are maintained as necessary to provide a safe and effective environment for employees, guests, volunteers, and other affiliates.

● Ensure that services are provided to guests in an orderly and respectful manner in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.

● Directly supervise staff members including training, scheduling, development, and performance management plans.

Job responsibilities continued:

● Provide on-call support to staff, as needed.

● Responsible for the development, implementation, and compliance of organizational policies and procedures and grant requirements.

● Maintain records by ensuring staff is collecting required client documentation and outcomes are tracked.

● Plan menus and food utilization based on anticipated number of meals required.

● Purchase supplies and coordinate deliveries effectively.

● Solicit donations.

● Maintain Inventory of supplies.

● Responsible for cleanliness and maintenance of the building and notifying the Executive Director when repairs are needed

● Maintain compliance with health and fire regulations.

● Collaborate with community partners as part of a holistic, best practice strategy for guests and the mission

● Developing marketing and communications material for activities and sponsored events

● Assisting the Case Manager with directing guests to Community Action for intake

Qualifications:

Candidates must be committed to working with individuals experiencing homelessness and have an appreciation for an individual's personal & professional development. An understanding of trauma informed care and de-escalation are appreciated, but not required to apply. Additional training will be provided, if selected. Candidates must be able to interact and work effectively with guests and fellow staff members. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are a necessity. Successful candidates will be organized, resourceful, collaborative, self-motivated, flexible, responsible, detail-oriented, and willing to embrace any situation.

An associate or a bachelor's degree in a Human Services related field preferred or a certificate in related field and two years experience or equivalent combinations of education and experience.
