The Co-op Experience: Make a Difference

As a Hologic Co-op, you are not just taking a job; you are taking your place on a global team of motivated, creative, and dedicated people!  The co-op experience gives you the opportunity to shine and share your knowledge, energy, and passion on meaningful projects that impact people all over the world.

This R&D Engineering team is part of the Surgical Research and Development at Hologic, and is responsible for the research and development of our current Fluent product as well as future product development in the area of women's health.

Throughout the 6-month co-op you'll have the opportunity to participate in the following:

  • Help with software and/or hardware development tasks and testing associated with the existing Fluent device and future products.

  • Learn the process of Medical Device design, development, testing, and the importance of documentation.

We're looking for bright, inquisitive problem solvers who strive to make a difference. Qualifications include the following:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program and have at least one semester remaining to complete after the co-op

  • Majoring in:  Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering

  • Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong organizational, problem solving & analytical skills

  • Comfortable working on multiple tasks when prioritized by your manager

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Preferred skills in:

  • C, C++, and/or Java code design and development

  • FPGA programming (Verilog or VHDL)

  • Embedded Systems

  • Preferred lab skills in the area of debugging using an oscilloscope, DVM, or soldering skills

  • Ability to work onsite at our Marlborough, MA campus. Intern housing, relocation, and housing stipends are not provided.

The hourly pay range for this role is $26 - $28/hr. Compensation is determined by class standing and operational function.
