Are you a seasoned developer with a passion for crafting high-quality software solutions? Black & McDonald is growing and seeking a skilled Senior Application Developer to join our dynamic team in Markham, ON. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your extensive experience in ASP.NET, C#, React JS, and SQL to design, develop, and maintain innovative software solutions that drive our business forward. As a Senior Application Developer, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, architect scalable cloud infrastructures on Azure, and stay at the forefront of industry trends to ensure our solutions are both cutting-edge and robust.

Developer and Architect Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions using ASP.NET, React.js, and SQL Server.

  • Architect and implement scalable and secure cloud infrastructure on Azure, including Web Apps and Azure SQL.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.

  • Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.

  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.

  • Engage with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our solutions remain cutting-edge.

Technical Expertise:

  • Proficiency in ASP.NET and React.js.

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in full lifecycle development

  • Strong experience with SQL Server and database design.

  • Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud services, including Web Apps and Azure SQL.

  • Solid understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns.

  • Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.

  • Experience with version control systems like Azure Repos, GIT

  • Knowledge of AI and automation technologies, such as machine learning frameworks is beneficial.

  • Familiarity with JD Edwards (JDE) EnterpriseOne is beneficial.
