Marion Public Health Public Health Nutritionist in Marion, Ohio

Marion Public Health is seeking a qualified candidate to fill an opening for a full-time (40 hours a week) or part-time Public Health Nutritionist for the WIC Program. The WIC Public Health Nutritionist is responsible for completing nutrition and health assessments, providing nutrition counseling, assisting mothers with breastfeeding, and assisting with office duties in the clinic. Registered Dietitians with previous WIC experience are preferred. Registered Dietitians, Dietetic Technicians Registered, Registered Nurses and new graduates with a dietetic background are encouraged to apply.

The ideal candidate will have experience with nutrition assessment and education in a WIC setting, experience supporting breastfeeding, knowledge, and skills in motivational interviewing, and an interest in working with community partners to implement strategies that improve access to nutrition, physical activity, and health care.
