The following position is open in the Elgin Local Schools for the 2024-2025 school year: Position: Middle School Principal Minimum Qualifications: ? Master's degree or higher ? Appropriate principal licensure (4-9 or 7-12) ? Minimum 4 years of successful teaching experience ? Prior administrative/leadership experience preferred ? BCI/FBI clearance showing a record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment. ? Complies with drug-free workplace rules and board policies. Essential Functions: ? Serves as the school's head administrator and instructional leader. ? Participates as an active member of the management team. ? Articulates a clear philosophy and shared vision of learning. ? Upholds board policies and follows administrative guidelines/procedures. ? Advances the professional image of the school district. Maintains open and effective communications.
