JOB REQUIREMENTS: Fincantieri Marinette Marine, a Fincantieri Marine Group Company, is a progressive shipyard specializing in building ships for the United States Navy. We currently have an opportunity for a Facilities Intern at our Marinette, Wisconsin location. The Facilities Department is responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of the buildings and grounds while ensuring its functionality, safety, and sustainability. POSITION SUMMARY The function of the Intern is to develop the skills/capabilities necessary to perform as a long-term, fulltime employee within the manufacturing organization at Marinette Marine or within the Fincantieri Marine Group. In fulfilling this function, he/she will assist with day-to-day functions of the facilities department. Some of these functions include escorting foreign nationals, filing/organizing paperwork, and implementing and maintaining our physical asset inventory system. Additionally, the Facilities Intern will offer support to current staff while becoming familiar with Marinette Marine manufacturing standards and enable him/her to fulfill his/her internship for their school and/or resume.
