ROLE

As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a crucial role in metallurgical analyses using laboratory equipment, collaborating on experiments, and contributing to sample preparation and material testing. Your primary responsibilities will include sample preparation, chemical analysis, mechanical testing, microscopic examinations, data analysis, and reporting. Additionally, you will participate in the failure analysis of components and products used in numerous industries.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in conducting metallurgical analyses using laboratory equipment.

  • Collaborate withothersto execute experiments and gather data.

  • Engage in sample preparation, material testing, and basic data analysis.

  • Learn to operate and maintain specialized metallurgical testing equipment.

  • Follow established protocols for metallurgical testing procedures.

  • Contribute to documenting experimental results under supervision.

  • Collaborate with team members to meet project objectives.

  • Stay updated on industry developments and incorporate best practices.

  • Maintain accurate laboratory records and ensure compliance with protocols.

  • Participate in training programs for skill development.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor's in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, or related science field.

  • 0-3 years of laboratory experience in metallurgical research.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Effective communication skills for collaborative work and reporting.

  • Working knowledge of good laboratory practices (GLP), maintain lab ISO and process Safety Procedures.

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and procedures.

  • Familiarity with relevant software for basic data analysis.
