IQVIA Associate Director, Flow Cytometry in Marietta, Georgia

We are seeking an Associate Director, Flow Cytometry to join Q² Solutions, IQVIA’s laboratory business for our Marietta, GA location.

As an Associate Director, Flow Cytometry, you will be responsible for managing a team of laboratory staff within a large department or several related departments. You will assist with administration of laboratory testing in accordance with applicable regulations governing clinical laboratories and contribute to establishing departmental strategy, and drive achievement of objectives for annual success of lab operations.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage and direct the daily activities of assigned laboratory work group(s) through appropriate delegation, technical skills training, and work supervision. Meets regularly with staff and senior management to discuss and resolve workload and technical issues.

  • Screen and assign workload. Plans, prioritizes, and assigns tasks and projects.

  • Partner with leadership to develop performance standards.

  • Responsible for hiring, training, performance management, and development of staff.

  • Contribute to departmental strategy and establishes goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational results. Establishes relevant metrics to drive departmental success.

  • Identify and drive opportunities for cost savings and driving revenue. Participates in budget planning process based on revenue targets and financial goals, inclusive of consumables, instrumentation, and resourcing needs.

  • Serve as an escalation point to drive resolution of challenges in operations, quality, safety, supply chain efficiencies across multiple departments.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a health science field required.

  • 9 years of experience in a regulated laboratory environment.

  • 2 years of experience managing/leading a team.

The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities needed for this role:

  • Requires practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects, and tactics within one department or multiple related departments.

  • Strong technical understanding of operations and methods. Strong knowledge of study set up and cross functional/system dependencies, and in-depth experience/knowledge of Flow Cytometry.

  • In depth knowledge of clinical testing procedures and applicable laboratory testing regulations.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $107,800.00 - $183,600.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
