We have a client looking to bring on a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Administrator, where you will play a vital role in managing the receivables processes with precision and efficiency. As the Accounts Receivable Administrator, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including processing lock box receipts, opening new accounts, and maintaining our customer master files. Your keen attention to detail and commitment to accuracy will ensure the smooth operation of our accounts receivable department.

salary: $22 - $25 per hour

shift: First

work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

education: Associate

Responsibilities

  • Processes lock box receipts.

  • Processes credit applications and opens new accounts.

  • Maintains customer master file and credit files.

  • Researches customers on hold and releases them if appropriate.

  • Prepares and processes cash/check deposits when needed.

  • Verifies credit availability for all factory purchase orders.

  • Picks up and delivers deposits to local bank branch.

  • Enters finalized cash receipts into the JDE system and updates accounts receivable ledger by customer.

  • Obtains and mails invoice copies for customers, as requested.

  • Files check stubs and bank receipts.

  • Researches and processes customer claims of invoice payment.

  • Researches and processes charge backs, returns, and bad checks.

  • Answers accounts receivable phone inquiries and follows up.

  • Calls and/or mails correspondence to customers as necessary in order to update accounts.

  • Assists with related special projects, as required.
