The Arc Oneida-Lewis Chapter Maintenance Mechanic in Marcy, New York

Our Facilities Management team is seeking to add a Maintenance Mechanic to our agency! In this role you will be responsible to implement day to day maintenance/basic renovation of the agency's building and production equipment. You will maintain all the physical requirements for the agency's buildings, equipment scheduling and project layout.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in maintaining the heating, electrical, plumbing and security systems as required by all city state and insurance codes.

  • Carry out all carpentry, electrical, heating, plumbing or construction (masonry, roofing) repairs.

  • Maintain buildings of both a residential and commercial/industrial nature. Assist in renovations required to update the present physical conditions of the agency's buildings. Assist in new construction projects.

  • Maintain all machines and mechanical equipment in good working order, set up and/or update machine functions as required.

  • Engage in painting, landscaping and any other such task as to ensure the best physical condition of agency properties.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED and at least two years experience in the building trade field.

  • A thorough working knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, welding, masonry, painting and roofing fields.

  • Valid NYS Driver's License
