What does a Mentor do?

Mentors work alongside individuals with a wide range of disabilities. They act as positive role models to the people we support while encouraging them to be as independent as possible, helping them reach the goals they have set for themselves, and ensuring they live their best lives each and every day.

Pay Rate

  • The starting salary is $16/hour, with a $1000 sign on bonus! There is potential to advance into a Senior Mentor role with experience. The Arc strongly believes in promoting from within!

    Schedule/Hours

  • Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM or 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM. No evenings, weekends, or holidays!!

    Qualifications

  • One year of experience working with people with disabilities is preferred

  • Valid NYS driver's license and reliable transportation

  • High school diploma or GED
