Wright County Community Action Fiscal Director in Maple Lake, Minnesota

Wright County Community Action is seeking a Fiscal Director to join our agency which has been in service to the Wright County residents since 1965. This position has the possibility to be part-time or full-time. Our office is located in Maple Lake which is located just 45 minutes west of Minneapolis, there is the potential for working remotely. The Fiscal Director is responsible for managing all financial recordkeeping, reporting, accounting and related systems/activities of WCCA. The Fiscal Director works with the fiscal team to prepare financial procedures, financial statements for audit, financial reports, reconciles bank statements, payroll, accounts payable, inventory, requests and deposits funds, purchasing, and actively participating in program budgeting and grants management. Assures effective internal controls of funds and assets, supervises related personnel, and provides related support services to all agency programs. Assures GAAP in fiscal management by WCCA. Education and Experience Bachelor s degree in accounting or related field from an accredited college or university. Five or more years of experience in accounting. Knowledge of and experience in managing financial systems for non-profits with government grants and fund accounting. Ability to plan, implement, and carry out departmental and organizational financial systems and procedures. Experience in automated financial systems, such as THO Orion fiscal accounting systems. Expert level experience creating and using Excel spreadsheets.
