About the role: We are looking for a motivated, collaborative, and creative individual to join our high-performing Process Development team. This position works cross-functionally to lead process development of complex technologies on innovative products, drive/develop business activities and rapid prototyping execution, and ensure efficient and effective transfer of products from concept to commercialization. This opportunity will require you to work hands-on in a fast-paced environment across multiple functions in a global medical device company. This role offers the opportunity to support process development and product commercialization throughout Boston's global plant network. You will be partnering cross-functionally with a technically strong, experienced, and highly engaged team. Your responsibilities will include: Assesses process capabilities, prioritizes process improvement opportunities, and innovates and implements process improvements on multiple and moderately complex processes. Applies technical knowledge to innovate, design, and develop processes, procedures, tooling and/or automation. Develops capable processes and ensures efficient and effective transfer of product into production. Executes the functional deliverables associated with the PDP/TDP, Project Management, and Quality Systems. Prepares and presents technical data and recommendations at technical reviews. Writes validation protocols and reports applicable to new processes. Ensures proper documentation is completed to meet quality systems requirements. (e.g., BOM's, Routers, FMEA's, etc.) Oversees development builds associated with the project using special work requests. Develops qualified production lines. Provides Design for Manufacturability (DFM) input to the engineering print package. Contributes ideas to or generates Intellectual Property submissions. Trains and/or provides work direction to technicians and may train manufacturing personnel when required as part of a validation. May serve as core team member or extended team member on new product projects. Required Qualifications: Minimum of 4 years of experience Bachelor's Degree in engineering or relevant technical field Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in Mechanical engineering Experience in Designed Experimentation with laser systems Medical device or other regulated industry experience Demonstrated understanding and usage of statistics to drive improvements Demonstrated understanding of problem solving and root cause investigations Expertise in Operations and/or New Product Development Experience with Test Method Validation Experience with Process Verification and Validation Experience with Nitinol manufacturing Demonstrated cross functional collaboration and influence in a technical environment Excels in a collaborative, cross-site environment Potential for travel up to 10% of their time Requisition ID:577056 Among other requirements, Boston Scientific maintains specific prohibited substancetesting requirements for safety-sensitive positions.
