Maintenance Technician Maple Grove, MN, USA Req #481 Monday, April 15, 2024 DRC is one of the largest educational assessment and curriculum/instruction companies in the industry. Job Title: Maintenance Technician Summary: This position is responsible for maintaining/repairing of industrial processing equipment in Printing, the Bindery and Warehouse Operations. Essential Position Responsibilities: Maintains equipment. Identifies sources of problems by trouble shooting equipment malfunctions. Resolve issues by implementing appropriate repairs. Ability to read, understand electrical and hydraulic schematics, prints and diagrams. Responds to Work Orders through DRC Internal Communications tool. Improves, Implements, documents preventive maintenance procedures. Train and educate operators on production equipment and preventive maintenance practices. Develop a parts inventory system on all equipment maintained. Responsible for tracking usage, analyzing and reporting trends to management. Responsible for researching, identifying, ordering parts, tools, supplies for equipment as required. Work directly with and provide support to equipment vendors. Responsible for maintenance of high-volume shredded paper baler system. Responsible for following established procedures on ink waste disposal. Maintains a safe and clean indoor work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Standard 40-hour work week but overtime can often be required due to unexpected maintenance issues. Intermediate computer knowledge Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 5 years experience in the mechanical maintenance of industrial processing equipment or a 2 year degree in mechanical engineering with 2 years of experience Basic mathematical skills Familiarity with maintenance shop tools and equipment Computer competency Report to work promptly when scheduled Be able to work under supervision and accept feedback Relate effectively and work respectfully with diverse work groups Ability to consistently perform well during times of increased work load Must be able to follow and train employees on safety policies including lock-out-tag-out procedures. Physical Requirements: This job requires frequent stooping, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, lifting and grasping, the ability to hear clearly at conversation levels, the ability to lift objects of pounds or more routinely and have clear close, peripheral and distance vision. The essential duties must be performed satisfactorily in order for an individual to successfully fulfill the requirements of this position. This position will be occasionally exposed to some hazardous material and conditions. In addition there will also be exposure to extreme temperatures and intense noise.
