Description Position at Lifespark We are seeking:Consolidated Private Pay - Collection Specialist Are you compassionate towards others? Are you passionate about enriching the lives of others? Our Consolidated Private Pay - Collection Specialist becomes family and impacts the lives of our residents who live in a Lifespark Senior Living Community. In this position, you will be Responsible for managing accounts receivable, month end processes, reporting and general administration for assigned facilities. Duties include: Verify, maintain, and reconcile assigned resident A/R accounts in applicable software. Analyze and submit billing of all payers according to company established deadline. Coordinate with facility teams and billing team to confirm accuracy of census and ancillary items. Perform timely and accurate payer verifications. Communicate with state and county offices to obtain and provide necessary information on residents. Review aging: follow up on any account if it is in arrears per company established policies. File inquiries, court documents, attorney referral, reconsiderations, and appeals to appropriate agencies or individuals for non-payment. Data enter and reconcile daily deposits, balance daily receipts and deposit logs, and post daily journal payments. Prepare and reconcile assigned payers for billing month end processes to meet company deadline. Reconcile, coordinate month end close and submission of all month end reports for assigned facilities Prepare reports, including collection notes and the A/R goal report by company deadline. Complete required reporting, including disbursement of Certificate of Rent Paid, case mix notification letters, rate notification letters and other reporting requested by other departments. Answer phone, greet visitors and provide direction and assistance in a friendly and helpful manner. Must be adaptable, flexible to changes, and able to prioritize and organize work efficiently to accomplish workload within time allotted. Maintain a positive attitude in relation to customer service program. Comply with established safety rules and regulations. Promptly reports accidents, incidents, and unsafe and hazardous conditions/equipment to supervisor. Understand, comply with, and promote all rules regarding resident's rights. Abide by the facility's policies, procedures and practices. Participate in and support Quality efforts throughout the facility. Preferred Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent. Minimum of three years' experience in a business office environment, preferably health care oriented. Must be able to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents, resident's families, and employees. Must possess advanced computer skills.
