ABM Industries ACCOUNT SUPERVISOR in Manteca, California

Overview

o Coordinate and monitor work activities and schedules of employees

o Assist in the hiring, on-boarding and training of new employees

o Compile written reports/ information

o Perform quality, service, and safety inspections; monitor employees for proper use of personal protective equipment, supplies, and equipment

o Coordinates activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of subordinate employees

o Evaluates and verifies employee performance through the review of completed work assignments and work techniques

o Identifies staff development and training needs and ensures that training is obtained

o Ensures proper labor relations and conditions of employment are maintained

o Maintains records, prepares reports, and composes correspondence relative to the work

o Makes rounds to check for crew coverage of designated work areas, assigns needed coverage, gives special cleaning instructions and/or assignments, and ascertains compliance with directives

o Conducts inspections and investigates tenant complaints of the building to check for cleanliness, and advises subordinates of found conditions and methods of correction

o Weekly meeting with manager or as needed

o Cover areas when need it

o Act as the conduit of information between management and front-line staff

o Track equipment and supply inventory

o Report employee personnel and customer issues to manager

o Provide corrective action recommendations on areas that need improvement

o Maintains personnel, time, and vacation/holiday records, prepares and evaluates time records and other related reports in order to ensure staffing needs and payroll

o Maintain detailed records of all staff

o Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing (emails and reports)

o Conduct monthly safety meetings

o Conduct weekly meetings with the day & night leads

o Prepare utility Schedule for the month and assign to the staff

Duties and Responsibilities:

All supervisors should be performing the following duties daily:

o Walk through of site before AM shift arrives

o Fitness Center clean and ready for use (If applies)

o Meetings with clients/ walks (If applies)

o Ordering of supplies and inventory

o Inspections of work and report on ABM website

o Gather all information and request from personal in-box. [set up Manager’s cube area]

o Request Updates

o Check staff punches

o Specific/ Special Task

o Set up crew to begin shift and discuss any information with employees if needed. This will be include handing out supplies if needed.

o Follow up with night lead (If applies)

o Budget for the account
