CLEVELAND-CLIFFS STEEL CORPORATION Shift Manager Maintenance in Mansfield, Ohio

Cleveland-Cliffs, Mansfield Works operation has an immediate opening for four Maintenance Shift Managers. The Maintenance Shift Manager will be responsible for supervising and directing the activities of maintenance employees in the repair and maintenance of all mechanical and electrical equipment. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, organized, willing to work a rotating schedule, work weekends and holidays in a fast pace environment. Summary of Responsibilities: Maintain supervisory control over work activities of the crew Assist in and/or direct crews in major repair outages Assist in the development, review, and update of JSHA's (Job Safety and Health Analysis) to eliminate safety hazards Conduct monthly safety meetings Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications: 2-5 years' prior supervisory experience of industrial/manufacturing experience Ability to lead and motivate employees High school diploma or GED equivalent Available to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, in a multi-level organization that operates 24/7, and work extended hours as needed Preferred Qualifications: Associate or Bachelor's degree in a related field Knowledge of melting, casting, or rolling steel or other metals Experience with electrical and mechanical systems, AC/DC cranes, and motors Experience in a union environment Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. is the largest flat-rolled steel company and the largest iron ore pellet producer in North America.
