Insight Global Engineering Technician II in Mansfield, Ohio

Job Description

A client of Insight Global that manufactures highly engineered sensors is looking for an Engineering Technician that can independently set up and perform a variety of electrical, mechanical, and environment tests, at the direction of lab management.

*Collaborates with Product Engineers in the development of special test methods, fixtures, and equipment.

*Summarize data and prepares data summaries, charts, graphs, etc. for presentation of test data.

*Assures test equipment and processes are set-up and performed safely. Communicates safety concerns to management promptly.

*Demonstrates increased competency and skill level through adequate performance in all areas of the Evaluation Laboratory.

*Maintains assigned lab areas in a neat and organized fashion, including applying 5S+1 criteria.

*Ensures the calibration of lab test equipment is current.

*Ensures the proper maintenance of test equipment.

*Participates in Product Engineering Safety Team audits.

*Develops improved or more efficient methods for testing.

*The employee performing this job has the responsibility to understand and follow all company rules and safe work practices.

*Immediately report any unsafe acts, conditions, or accidents to their supervisor.

*Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Requirements

* Associate Degree in Electrical, Electronic, mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology

* Understanding of high voltage AC and low voltage DC

* A minimum of one years experience working in an engineering test lab environment.

* Ability to Summarize data and prepares data summaries, charts, graphs, etc. for presentation of test data

* knowledgeable regarding the operation of and maintenance of test equipment

* Working knowledge of MS Office * Experience working in a manufacturing company on a global scale

* Six Sigma Yellow Belt or above null
