Zlotnick Construction Inc. Construction Project Manager in Mansfield Center, Connecticut

This is typically an exempt position with salary commensurate with experience. Successful candidate will report to Executive Management. Job Summary: It is the responsibility of the Project Manager to organize, supervise and coordinate the project and the onsite staff (daily communication with superintendents on each operating project is expected) in order to complete the work on schedule, within budget and to the quality of workmanship specified. It is also his or her responsibility to serve as the ZCI representative on the OwnerArchitectBuilder team. In the performance of this function, it is the Project Managers responsibility to protect and promote ZCIs interests in all matters and to do whatever is reasonably necessary to execute his or her duties and responsibilities which include, but are not limited to the following. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide project leadership for ZCI team Establish a safety conscious project team and work site Create harmonious working relationship with all those involved in the project, particularly the Owner/AE team Have a thorough knowledge and understanding of the contract documents, to include specifications, plans and Subcontractor scopes of work Utilize ZCI project management and accounting software to track all project documentation Prior to beginning construction, examine contract documents for design deficiencies, impractical details and possible code violations Meet at regular intervals with Owner/AE, and Subcontractor team to discuss safety, schedule, challenges, etc. Coordinate functions of the estimating, scheduling, purchasing, accounting and operations departments as they relate to the successful completion of the project Ensure that requisitions for subcontracts and purchase orders are prepared and submitted on time Develop and manage CPM schedule, track delays, and inform Owner of changes to schedule Develop submittal log and ensure proper submittals have been obtained by Subcontractors/Suppliers Manage procurement of long lead time items Ensure that the prescribed quality control measures are implemented and maintained throughout the project life-cycle (i.e. follow and enforce ZCI Quality Manual) Utilize time management skills to run multiple projects as efficiently as possible Ensure ZCI Applications for Payment are prepared and submitted on time, payment is received, and funds are properly disbursed to Subcontractors/Suppliers Inform ZCI Management of projects progress, financial status and current Owner/AE team relations Ensure requirements pertinent to insurance, safety, labor relations and State or Federal Government wage or employment regulations are met Reporting and forecasting of costs regularly Ensure all project costs are submitted and accounted for in a timely manner
